External water softener If the dishwasher is connected to an external water softener unit which is regenerated with salt, the water hadness must still be set in the dishwasher to the water hardness from your water softener unit. If you don't know the value, set the dishwasher water hardness to 8°d (8 gr/gal [US]). ^ Set the dishwasher to the water hardness of the external water softener and confirm with OK. If the dishwasher is not longer connected to an external water softener, set the setting to Auto. Filter check This selection allows you to set the number of cycles run before the filter check message shows. ^ Select the desired interval and confirm with OK. Adjusting the "Sensor Wash" program The "Sensor Wash" program can be adjusted to clean stubborn but normal soiling. ^ Select Yes to activate this function and confirm with OK. 43 Settings J Reorganize program list The order of the programs in the program list can be reorganized.
