[. . . ] WATER AND MOISTURE The appliance should not be used near water for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool, etc. VENTILATION The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. Sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings. HEAT The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliance (including amplifiers) that produce heat. [. . . ] With MDX 600, nothing was left to chance, all the components are sound-friendly, it has a high power toroidal transformer, its converter BURR BROWN PCM 1796 ensures outstanding performing ability, as weel as a delicate and subtle rendering of your favorite music. In order to compensate musical losses of some Zip files ie MP3 files, the MDX 600 has 4 equalization curves. A Direct path function permits to cancel these curves if you want to listen high quality CD or Lossless files. The MDX 600 is composed of a metal frame which reduces the risk of interference in the device. The MDX 600 has an unbalanced analog output (RCA), one balanced output (XLR) as well as two digital outputs : 1 optic and 1 coaxial to supply for example a CD burner, these outputs benefit of the equalization circuit. ON/OFF POWER BUTTON Press this button to turn ON your appliance, power is supplied to your unit and it becomes operational, the LED blue display on top of the volume button will switch ON. DIRECT PATH Process A, B, C or D are disabled by pressing this direct path button. When the Direct path mode is enabled, the blue led on top of this button will be illuminate. By pushing the Direct Path button, you will disable the process mode (Lossless files or good quality cds). DIGITAL INPUTS FREQUENCIES Those 5 leds indicate the sampling frequency that the active source is playing. COAXIAL DIGITAL INPUTS COAX1, COAX2 AND COAX3 (SPDIF) Press this button to select the coaxial input 1, 2 or 3 as your listening source. In order to obtain best results, use a high quality 50 to 75 ohm digital RCA interconnect cable. The stereo RCA cables that you are using for analog sources are not the right one. DIGITAL OPTICAL INPUTS (TOSLINK) Press this button to select the coaxial input 1, 2 or 3 as your listening source. In order to obtain best results, use a high quality TOSLINK fibre-optic cable designed specifically for audio use. we recommand to use the Advance Acoustic ACS-35 (0 , 7m) or ACS-36 (1 , 2m) optical cable. IMPORTANT : If the source that you are going to connect to your MDX-600 have both optical and digital outputs, Only one of the two types should be connected at any one time. If both the optical and coaxial outputs of your source are connected, neither will work. USB A / USB B / AES-EBU INPUTS USB A INPUT i The USB type A (MP3 only) port allows you to hook up your MP3 Player or MP3 drive to play back your downloaded MP3 music library directly thru the MAX-450 amplifier. [. . . ] U ENTRÉES AES/EBU Si votre source est équipée d’une sortie numérique de type AES/EBU, connectez là sur l’entrée AES/EBU de votre convertisseur MDX-600 à l’aide d’un cable de type XLR. AES/EBU INPUT If your source has an AES/EBU output, you can connect it on the AES/EBU digital input of your MDX-600 converter. €L) If your preamplifier has balanced inputs, you have the possibility to connect the MDX-600 balanced ouputs on the balanced inputs of your preamplifier. R and L) If your preamplifier has unbalanced inputs, you have the possibility to connect the MDX600 unbalanced ouputs on the unbalanced inputs of your preamplifier. [. . . ]
