[. . . ] ALWAYS avoid placing Flash Head cables where they can be tripped over. NEVER place heavy objects on top of the Flash Head cables and avoid running them over sharp or hot objects. NEVER use the Flash Heads or Pack in an environment where moisture, water vapour or inflammable liquids, vapour or materials may come into contact with the Pack or Flash Heads. Insert the tab on the front of the Flash Head plug into the socket first and then press down firmly on the cable entry end to ensure latched retention. To remove the plug, press the spring latch away from the plug and lift from the cable entry end. Switch the Pack `ON' and test the operation of the Flash Head, modelling lamp and flash. Fitting / Removing Reflector A range of reflectors are available for the Duo-Lite. To fit, slide the neck of the reflector over the front of the flash head, align the three pegs on the reflector with the three slots in the retaining ring, press down and turn clockwise. To remove the reflector press the latch knob (Fig. 3) in the direction of the arrow, turn the reflector fully anti-clockwise and withdraw. -4- Figure 3 Fitting / Removing Reflector Key To Figure 3 A. Dome Retaining Buttons Fitting / Replacing Modelling Lamps ALWAYS switch `OFF' the Pack and remove the connector to isolate the Head before replacing the modelling lamp. If the modelling lamp is not lit but the Head switch is on and the pack controls have no effect then:· Check the operation of other Heads connected to the same Pack. If these do not work and the Pack appears to be working then check/change the Pack modelling fuse after checking the Heads for faults or broken lamps. As the fuse may blow when a modelling lamp fails, always check/change the modelling fuse in the Head if the replacement lamp does not work. Ensure that the Head has cooled sufficiently before touching the reflector or glass dome. Remove the glass dome by depressing the dome retaining buttons (Fig. 3) and lifting it away from the flash head. Ensure a replacement modelling lamp of the same voltage as the supply (230 V) is used. [. . . ] To remove the flash tube first remove the glass dome as detailed above. To replace the flash tube, hold the replacement assembly as shown (Fig. 4) and locate the three brass sockets onto the plugs in the front of the Flash Head. Pass the trigger wire through the hole in the trigger terminal tag and wind around the tag, ensuring that the wire does not touch the metal top hat. [. . . ]
