Application foundation product suite and associated licensing mechanisms The Application Foundation Suite consists of several product modules. Dashboard Manager is the mandatory module and all other product modules are optional. The list of product modules is as follows: · Dashboard Manager: the rules and metric engine, associated analytics · Set Analysis: Up-sell module to Dashboard Manager · Predictive Analysis: Up-sell module to Dashboard Manager · Process Analysis: Up-sell module to Dashboard Manager (a. k. a. SPC) · Performance management: Up-sell module to Dashboard manager for goal Management. [. . . ] Specify the directory tree under which you want to install the Application Foundation product. If directory does not exist then it will ask do you want to create it. Using the arrow keys and spacebar, select the languages you want to install. Using the arrow keys and spacebar, select the features to be installed for Application Foundation. The list of product modules available corresponds to your license key, which in turn is reflective of the product modules purchased by the customer. If you want to select or deselect all the items within a product group, highlight the product group and press x. The Operation Complete panel appears with a summary of the product modules to be installed. Verify that you have more than the amount indicated so that you can deploy the Application Foundation web applications. If you want to change which components to install or to set another installation directory, press p to go back. When installation is complete, the installer displays a message that the installation is complete. Press Enter to view the Readme. Application Foundation is installed in the directory specified during installation. The variable $AAHOME refers to this folder for example, /usr/bo/AF/ Application_Foundation. Installation logs are located in the following directory: $AAHOME/. . /logs. In case of errors in installation, show these files to your administrator. Enter the following: ls -ld AF The following should appear: drwxr-xr-x 5 webiuser afgroup 512 Dec 3 10:24 AF 2. If the above is not returned, enter the following: chgrp -R afgroup AF 3. On a Windows machine, use Designer 6. 5 to modify the connection of the universes located in $AAHOME/Universe. Export the universes to the BusinessObjects repository. NOTE The new connection must point to your Application Foundation repository. Perform the verification once again after you have exported the universes. Change the language variable Before using Application Foundation you must change environment variable AALANG in MyWebiEnv. sh (<Business Objects Directory>/nodes/ <machine name>/<cluster name>/) as follows: French: AALANG=fr;export AALANG Italian: AALANG=it; export AALANG English: AALANG=en; export AALANG NOTE For AIX, only English is supported.
