Important Information about your Sink
Althoughstainlesssteelsinksarebuilttolastalifetime, consumersarealmostalwaysconcernedaboutthreespecificnatural occurrencesthatmayappearontheirnewsink. Scratching StainlesssteelisNOTscratchresistantandissusceptibletoscratchingthroughnormalwear. Scratchesaremostprevalentwhen thesinkisbrandnewbutthroughcontinualuse, scratcheswillbecomemoreuniformandlessapparentovertime. Rust spots Rustcolouredspotswhichmayappearonanewsinkdonotindicatethatthesinkitselfisrusting. Theappearanceofthesespots isattributedtoexternalfactorsmostcommonlyrelatedtoferrousparticleswhichcomethroughthewatersupplyfollowingthe installationofnewpipework. Theseparticlesarenotvisibletotheeyeuntiltheystarttorustandarelikelytoappearinthefirst sixtotwelvemonthsofuse. Cleaningmayremovetheruststainbutnoteliminatethecause. Itishoweverimportanttoavoid theuseofsteelwoolwhichwillexacerbatetheproblem. Water staining Limescaledepositsand`rainbow'discolourationwhichmayappearonastainlesssteelsurfacearesolelyduetoenvironmental factorsandnotinherentfaultswithintheproduct. Throughcontinuoususeandregularcleaning, theseeffectswilldisappear.
