This unit has a built in decoder that provides a visual depiction of the audio portion of a television program in the form of written words across the screen. It allows you to read the dialogue of a television program or other information.

!Sometimes TV stations broadcast four different caption signals on the same channel. CC 1 is usually the signal with the captions, while another mode might show demonstration or programming function. Your TV might not receive caption signals normally if; poor reception is encountered, an old or bad recorded tape is being played or any strong interference with the TV signal.

During long periods of non-operation, it is recommended that you unplug the unit from the power source. This is to minimize any chance of damage from power surges or any potential hazard during your absence.
