[. . . ] How to fit the battery - Pull out the seat (see section on Seat, fuel and oil tanks) - Place the battery in its compartment. Maintenance of the battery Good maintenance of the battery should include: -Always keep the water level between the upper and lower marks on the front of the battery case. - Keep the upper surface of the battery completely clean and dry and free of corrosive materials; the terminals should be kept clean and greased so as to avoid corrosion. Adjustment of the idling speed This operation must be carried out with the engine warm, in neutral and without using the accelerator. Turn the idling adjustment screw (1) inwards or outwards until the idling speed reaches a point where the engine almost stops but still runs smoothly. For any other adjustment of the carburettor, we recommend that you contact an Official DERBI Service Centre. 7 mm Spark plug maintenance: Remove the spark plug from time to time, clean the electrodes and check how worn they are with a thickness gauge and ensure that the gap between the electrodes is correct.
