It may take some time until steam comes out: - the appliance is used for the first time - the water tank is refilled - the anti-scale cartridge has just been changed. After long periods of steaming there may be some residual steam emitted after pressing the steam “on/off” button to the off position. After a certain period or if you don’t press the steam button for 10 minutes, the safety system will automatically cut the power supply to the appliance. When the AUTO-STOP system has been released, the AUTO STOP pilot light turns on, which confirms that the appliance has turned off. An audible signal regularly sounds to indicate that the appliance has gone into sleep mode. Press once the On/off steam switch to cancel the AUTO-STOP function. The “AUTO-STOP” pilot light turns off and the appliance starts heating again. Wait until the On/Off pilot light is permanently on, indicating that the appliance is ready for use again. An audible signal indicates that the appliance is ready to supply steam again. To obtain steam, press again the On/off steam switch (the pilot light on the handle will turn on). The electronic “CAPT” system measures the effectiveness of the antiscale cartridge by constantly monitoring the scale content of the filtered water.
