To use steam please ensure that the thermostat dial is set within the 2 and 3 dot settings. The volume of steam increases gradually as you turn the control knob towards the maximum. €¢ At maximum setting, there is an initial burst of steam lasting for several seconds. The Power On pilot light comes on to show that the appliance is switched on. If you press the steam trigger before the appliance is ready, an audible warning sounds. Once the appliance is ready, press the steam trigger until steam comes out. When you switch on the iron, it may take up to 90 seconds before you can call for steam. The steam output will remain at a reduced level until the generator light goes out, by which time it will have reached the normal level. Please note : Whilst you are ironing, the generator and iron heating pilot lights repeatedly go on and off. My Pressing 2 EXTRA SAFETY : The ironing table heats up automatically as soon as the appliance is switched on. In this way it eliminates the risk of condensation forming and so guarantees the perfect drying off of garments. The foam cover remains dry even after prolonged steaming from the iron.
