[. . . ] € Use a mains supply which has an earth connection, for your own safety. € Never immerse the machine in water or other liquids, not even partially. € Place the iron horizontally on the iron rest marked SIT after each use. [. . . ] TO OPERATE - HEATING PROCESS • Plug the power cable into an earthed socket. € The Power On indicator lights comes on to show that the appliance is switched on. If you press the steam trigger before the appliance is ready, an audible signal sounds to indicate that the generator is not ready to supply steam. € Once the appliance is ready, press the steam trigger until steam comes out. When you switch on the iron, it may take up to 90 seconds before you can call for steam. The steam output will remain at a reduced level until the generator light goes out, by which time it will have reached the normal level. Please note : Whilst you are ironing, the generator and iron heating pilot lights repeatedly go on and off. STEAM FLOW RATE CONTROL KNOB • Adjust the flow control knob to suit the type of material being ironed. The volume of steam increases gradually as you turn the control knob towards the maximum (+). € At maximum setting, there is an initial burst of steam lasting for several seconds. To repeat this process, wait for a few seconds to avoid any risk of spotting. Please note • Because of the high steam output rate, there is no need to continually press the steam button. Pressing the button briefly and frequently will enable you to control the quantity of steam, in order to obtain professional results. € If the iron is used intensively, steam may continue to be produced after the steam button has been released and water may appear on the iron holder. € Select maximum steam output when : - the unit is used for the first time, - the water tank has been refilled, - the anti-scale cartridge has just been changed. NOISE To ensure regular steam output performance, your unit is equipped with a pump which is activated each time the steam trigger is pressed. : - the appliance is used for the first time - the water tank is empty - the anti-scale cartridge has just been changed. VERTICAL IRONING • Your iron can also be used vertically to steam clothing on hangers or curtains in situ etc. [. . . ] Please make sure that the soleplate is kept clean at all times to maintain the iron's ironing efficiency.
