[. . . ] Before loading glossy film into the sheet feeder, always put a support sheet* or a sheet of plain paper under the glossy film. If you wish to load multiple sheets of glossy film, load only up to 30 sheets and set the minimum top margin of the page to 30mm. Before loading transparencies into the sheet feeder, always put a support sheet* or a sheet of plain paper under the stack of transparencies. To ensure the print quality and for ease of use with banner paper, the optional Banner Paper Kit is required. You can load one sheet at a time into the sheet feeder, or from the manual feed slot. *If a support sheet is packed with the Photo Quality Glossy Film, load it underneath the glossy film, but do not print on it. For best results when printing on index cards, you should use EPSON Photo Quality Ink Jet Cards. When printing on index cards, please note the following: Make sure that the adjust lever is set to the + position before you load index cards. When you load index cards, remove the rear edge guide and re-install it to match the length of the cards as shown below. For the sheet feeder, load cards with the printable surface down; for the manual feed slot, load cards with the printable surface up. You may be able to select 720 dpi if your DOS program supports 720-dpi printing. You can select from Bi-d, Uni-d, or Auto print directions using the default-setting mode. Return unused cards to their original package as soon as possible after you finish printing. unfavorable storage conditions , such as high temperature , humidity , or direct sunlight , can damage the paper. If your index cards don't feed properly or jam, see Chapter 10, "Troubleshooting. Before printing on envelopes from a DOS program using the sheet feeder, the printer must be in the envelope printing mode. To enter this mode, load a single envelope in the sheet feeder and then eject it by pressing the Load/Eject button. Make sure the printable surface is face down and the flap edge loads first. When you load envelopes into the manual feed slot, position the right edge guide so that its right edge is even with the arrow mark on top of the manual feed guide. Also, avoid using envelopes that are too thin; they may curl during printing.
