For optimum cooking results it is recommended to preheat the oven when baking foods such as cookies, biscuits and breads. Reduce oven temperature 25° F from recipe's recommended oven temperature. Follow the remainder of the recipe's instructions using the minimum recommended cook time. Note: Layer cakes will have better results using the normal Bake feature. Preheating is not necessary when roasting foods with Speed BakeTM Cooking System. Since Speed Bake cooks food faster, reduce the cook time by 25% from the recommended cook time of your recipe. Note: Cook time reductions will vary depending on the amount and type of food being cooked. To Set Speed BakeTM Cooking System: 1. Speed Bake may be used with Bake, Timed Bake and Delayed Time Bake features. "UPPER", "WARM" will flash and "HLd" will appear in the display. Note: If no pad is touched within 25 seconds the request to turn ON Keep Warm feature will be cancelled. "UPPER", "WARM" will stop flashing, "HLd" will remain on and the oven icon will appear in the display. Note: The Keep Warm feature will automatically turn OFF after 3 hours. "UPPER" and "WARM" will flash and "HLd" will appear in the display. Note: If no pad is touched within 25 seconds the request to turn ON the Keep Warm feature and all functions previously programmed will be cleared. "UPPER" and "WARM" will stop flashing and remain in the display. When the Time Bake has finished, the keep warm mode will turn ON automatically. The desired temperature, "BAKE" and "TIMED" will disappear. Note: The Keep Warm feature will automatically turn OFF after 3 hours. Pressing CLEAR/OFF pad at any time will stop all oven baking operations. Setting Broil The BROIL pad controls the Broil feature.
