Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. Care must be taken to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable. The domestic refrigerators and freezers are designed to be used specifically for the storage of edible foodstuffs only. Manufacturers' storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. [. . . ] The manufacturer declines to accept any liability if this accident-prevention procedure is not followed. 100 mm A 10 mm B 10 mm NP003 Rear spacers In the plastic envelope containing the Operation Instructions are also included two wall spacers to be fitted into the special openings provided on the back of the appliance. Push-fit the spacers into the openings, making sure that arrow (A) is positioned as per Fig. 2 and then turn the spacers through 45° until they lock in (arrow in vertical position). This appliance complies with E. E. C. Directives: - 73/23 EEC of 19. 2. 73 (Low Voltage Directive) and subsequent modifications; - 89/336 EEC of 3. 5. 89 (Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive) and subsequent modifications. Cleaning the appliance's interior Before using the appliance for the first time, wash all internal parts with lukewarm water and neutral soap so as to remove the typical «new» smell and then dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents or abrasive powders as these will damage the finish. 4 Door reversibility Before carrying out any work on the appliance, unplug it from the power socket. Remove the middle hinge, turn it through 180° and refit it on the opposite side (Fig. The plugs must be refitted in the holes left open on the opposite side. Unscrew the left-hand levelling foot, which will be refitted on the opposite side. Unscrew the right-hand levelling foot (H), the corresponding hinge (I) and the stop (L) and refit all these on the left-hand side (Fig. The unused holes are masked with plastic plugs which should be removed and refitted in the holes left open. 4 E After completion of the door reversibility operation, verify that the door gasket is adherent to the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by heating up the part involved with a normal hairdrier. Fig. 6 D336 5 USE Operation - Temperature regulation Make sure that the internal light (in the models provided with it) turns on and off by slightly opening the door. Turn the thermostat knob, to be found on the upper right side of the refrigerator compartment, clockwise (beyond the stop position «O») to a setting between 2 and 4, which is usually the most appropriate. The temperature is automatically regulated but it may be modified by turning the knob to higher settings to obtain a lower refrigeration temperature or to lower settings to increase the refrigeration temperature. However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in mind that the temperature inside the refrigerator depends on: room temperature; how often the doors are opened; the quantity of food stored in the refrigerator; location of appliance. To stop the fridge, set the thermostat knob to position «O». When the refrigerator is set for the coldest temperatures, with a high surrounding room temperature, it will probably work uninterruptedly, with consequent frosting of the back wall of the compartment or of the evaporator (if exposed). If this does in fact occur, the knob should be set to a slightly higher temperature. In this way the refrigerator automatically defrosts, with a considerable energy saving. Butter & Cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or wrapped in alluminium foil or polythene bags to avoid any contact with air. Milk bottles: these should have a cap; store them in the bottle rack on the door. Freezing of fresh foods and storing of frozen foods The freezer is marked with the symbol, which means that the compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and for long-term storage of frozen food. [. . . ] Do not use metal tools to remove the trays when they are stuck-frozen inside the compartment. 7 MAINTENANCE Before carrying out any operation, unplug the appliance. Internal light (Fig. 8) The light in the refrigerator compartment is easy to get at through the opening in the light holder. If the light does not turn on when the door is opened, make sure it is properly fitted; if the malfunction continues, replace the bulb. 8 Periodic cleaning Wash the interior with lukewarm water and sodium bicarbonate; clean the cabinet exterior with a silicone wax spray; clean the condenser and the motor compressor with a brush or a vacuum cleaner.
