To be certain of exploiting its potential in the best possible way and maintaining top performance of the ZAFFIRO/AMICA unaltered we recommend that you follow the instructions in this simple booklet very carefully to install and use the machine and perform daily maintenance correctly. [. . . ] Make sure there is water in the tank when the machine is operating 12 Never place your hands or other parts of the body in the path of the water/steam nozzle. Never place your hands or other parts of the body or any other object inside the machine when it is plugged in !Never touch the hot parts of the machine (bottom of coffee distributor and water/steam nozzles) !Before performing any routine maintenance make sure the machine is unplugged, without pulling the power cable, or that the main circuit breaker is off !If the power cable should be damaged and have to be replaced, order a new cable from the manufacturer and/or its service center !Do not leave the machine within reach of children or people who are not capable of using it !Keep the coffee maker away from any heat sources 1 Starting the machine To start the ZAFFIRO/AMICA espresso coffee maker, follow the instructions below: · Remove the cover and take out the water tank (located inside the machine) and rinse it · Fill the container with clean water, return it to its housing and insert the silicon tubes. Close the cover on the machine · The main power ON light (2) and the hot water light (7) will go on Perform the following operations every time you switch the machine on and every time you draw steam: · Water will come out of the water/steam nozzle (9) press the hot water switch again (6) turn the water/steam knob (8) clockwise to close the tap wait about 3-4 minutes until the machine is pressurized and hot water light (7) goes off At this point the ZAFFIRO/AMICA coffee machine is ready for use. If the water in the tank is used up, a micro switch located under the tank plate will switch the machine off automatically. Switch off the machine with the main circuit breaker (1) unplug it fill the tank with water plug in the power cable switch on the machine with the main circuit breaker (1) Make sure the tank is always full of water · Fill a one cup filter holder (4) if you want one cup of coffee or a two cup filter holder if you want two cups at the same time, and press the coffee slightly with the presser · Fit the filter holder (4) in the coffee distribution unit (3) and twist from left to right to block it in place · place one or two cups under the filter holder (4) · Push the coffee lever (12) up. Coffee will come out the bottom of the filter holder (4) · Lower the lever (12) when you have enough coffee · If you want to make more coffee remove the filter holder (4) by turning it from right to left and empty out the used grounds. Never place your hands or other parts of the body in the path of the water/steam nozzle. Hot water and steam can cause serious burns make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4. 1) place a container under the steam/ hot water nozzle (9) turn the steam/hot water tap knob (8) counter-clockwise press the hot water switch (6). [. . . ] Use of the machine in any other way than as contemplated in the instructions will relieve ISOMAC and all sales outlets of any liability for damage to persons or property. Placera maskinen på en vågrät slät yta Ta bort maskinens överdel och ta ut vattentanken (placerad inuti maskinen) Fyll tanken med färskt vatten Sätt tillbaka tanken i maskinen och placera båda siliconslangarna tillbaka i vattnet Sätt tillbaka maskinens överdel Kontrollera att kaffespaken (12) står i lodrät läge (neråt) Anslut maskinen till ett el uttag Sätt på huvudströmbrytaren ( två lampor tänds ) huvudströmlampan (2) och vattenlampan (7) Placera en kopp under ångtappen Öppna omgående ångvredet (8) Tryck genast ner vattenknappen (6) Nu startar pumpen och till en början kan den låta något ansträngd Vänta tills det kommer ut vatten genom ångtappen (9) Stäng ångvredet (8) Stäng vattenknappen (6) Vänta nu 3-4 minuter till maskinen är uppe i tryck och vattenlampan släcks (7) Maskinen är nu klar att användas Bönor och malning Att uppnå bästa resultat för en god espresso: Se till att alltid ha färskt nymalet kaffe ­ var noga med att använda bra kvalite på kaffet Var noga med, om du köper färdig malet kaffe, att det är malt för att användas till espressobryggning (det är alltså inte samma grovlek som för vanligt bryggkaffe) Försök att finna ut vilken blandning du tycker bäst om. Försäkra dig om att hålla maskinen i god Kondition genom daglig skötsel Kontrollera att elkontakten är urdragen under rengörning Dra och slit aldrig i elanslutningen Rengör vattentanken regelbundet Byt dagligen vattnet Rengör dagligen, filterhållaren från ev gammalt kaffe med varmt vatten Rengör dagligen, galler (11) med varmtvatten och töm vattenuppsamlaren Rengör och avlägsna eventuella mjölkrester (speciellt utloppshålen pa ångtappen) (skruva loss yttersta delen på ångtappen och rengör även ångrörets hål med en tandpetare) Rengör brygghuset (3) dagligen för att avlägsna eventuella gamla kaffepartiklar runt gummipackningen och under brygghuset med hjälp av en speciell pensel eller med en oanvänd bakpensel Kör igenom brygghuset med varmt vatten dagligen Avkalkning Ett viktigt moment som bör göras regelbundet beroende på hårdhetsgraden ­ desto hårdare vatten desto oftare avkalkning men minst 1 gång varje månad Vi rekommenderar gärna att man gör det med vinäger med tanke på miljön och även det personliga välbefinnande Avkalknings tips med vinäger Steg 1 - (Detta görs för att rensa kokaren på eventuella kalk partiklar) 3 dl vinäger + 1 dl färskvatten = vinäger blandning Häll blandningen i vattentanken och när du märker att vinägerblandningen kommer ut genom brygghuset, stäng av maskinen (tänk på att det första vattnet som kommer ur brygghuset, är det som var i kokaren och är inte vinägerblandningen) Stäng av maskinen Låt maskinen stå över natten (gärna 12 timmar) Byt ut vinäger blandningen mot färskvatten Kör igenom maskinen med det färska vattnet Steg 2 - (För att rensa silen och brygghuset E61 gruppen) Placera ett blindfilter i filterhållaren med ren vinäger i ett blindfilter, sätt in filterhållaren i brygghuset och för kaffespaken till horisentallt läge i några sekunder, för ner kaffespaken till lodrätt läge och vinäger kommer ut i backventilen under brygghuset, gör detta moment 3-4 gånger vid varje avkalkningstillfälle.
