[. . . ] For improved operation, the STC-1B-ZB-Z's charge rate has been permanently set to a trickle charge mode. In this mode, the unit will take approximately twelve hours to fully charge, rather than the one to three hours stated on page 6. If the STC-1B-ZB-Z is being used while it is plugged in, it will drain the battery much faster than the power supply can recharge it. After you receive the first Low Battery warning, you will have up to ten minutes of run time before the unit shuts down. After connecting the STC-1B-ZB-Z to the power supply, set it aside and allow it to fully charge (this will take about twelve hours).
