UNPACKING YOUR NEW 8008X3 Three Channel Amplifier Your new 8008X3 Three Channel Amplifier was diligently hand-crafted, thoroughly tested and carefully packed at our factory in California, USA. In the unlikely event that your 8008X3 is damaged during shipment, be sure to save the carton as evidence for the freight carriers' inspection and call your authorized dealer immediately. We strongly recommend that you always save the box and packing materials should you have to transport your 8008X3 for any reason. This is a particularly good idea if you wish to take full advantage of any future upgrades or options. CAUTION: Never ship your BOOBX3 Three Channel Amplifier without the original packing. CONTENTS OF THIS CARTON: This carton contains: your new 8008X3 Three Channel Amplifier, a UL approved power cord, a Warranty Registration/Survey card, and of course, this Owner's Manual. This will entitle you to our extended warranty as outlined on the warranty card. @ Mondial Designs LTD. 1996 CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS This section will help you to become familiar with each of the controls and functions found on your 8008X3 Three Channel Amplifier. Take a few moments to read the information presented in this section in order to facilitate your understanding of the control options available. FIGURE 1 FRONT PANEL CONTROLS CONNECTIONS 4. A/C POWER CONNECTOR This 3 prong connector is for the A/C power input. 1. POWER ON/OFF This rocker switch turns the A/C power ON (press top) or OFF (press bottom. ) POWER INDICATOR This light will be on whenever the 8008X3 is in the on position. INPUTS These three inputs can be use for any three channels in a home theatre system. 2. 3. SYSTEM SETUP This section provides you with the setup procedures to easily connect the 8008X3 Amplifier to your system. . Never allow the speaker cable termination's to touch at either the back of the amplifier or the speaker terminals. Always turn off the BOOBX3 whenconnectingor movingyour loudspeakers. Your 8008X3 is designed to be free standing, placed on an audio rack or stacked with other components. Always be sure to provide enough space (at least 1Y2 inches) at the top, sides and the rear of the 8008X3 to allow sufficient air flow through the ventilation slots. Always place on a hard flat surface to allow for proper ventilation. . SETUP WITH A HOME THEATRE 1. PREPARATION SYSTEM Before hooking up your 8008X3 you must decide if you will use it for the front channels; Left, Center, Right or for the effects channels; Center, Left Surround, Right Surround. Please note that the INPUTS (1, 2, 3) are assigned to the corresponding SPEAKER OUTPUTS (1, 2, 3) and can be used for any three channels of a home theatre system.
