Use in clean rooms The Leica SmartTouchTM can be used in clean rooms without any problems. Cleaning Do not use any unsuitable cleaning agents, chemicals or techniques for cleaning. Responsibilities of person in charge of instrument Ensure that the Leica SmartTouchTM is operated, maintained and repaired by authorized and trained personnel only. Never use chemicals to clean colored surfaces or accessories with rubberized parts. This could damage the surfaces, and specimens could be contaminated by abraded particles. [. . . ] It is particularly suitable if you usually work at a high magnification. The "Auto" setting adapts the speed to the respective magnification. It is particularly suitable if you have to change magnification frequently. Note that: High magnification level = slow focus ­ Low magnification level = fast focus. 1.
