The connection between the remote cord and the camera does not include a locking mechanism. The remote cord may become disconnected from the camera should you pick up the camera while holding the remote cord, or if you subject the remote cord to a blow or shock. If you are using a high-capacity memory card in the camera, the camera may take some time to respond to operations performed using the remote cord.
