[. . . ] You can zoom out on the image at lesser magnification each time the image is clicked. · To move the display position of an image, select the Scroll Mode by clicking the [Scroll Mode] icon, then drag the image. Moving an image in Scroll Mode Image Edit Window · You can temporarily switch to another mode to enable you to operate the image in that mode. You can operate the image in a desired mode while pressing the [Option] or [Command] key in Macintosh, or the [Alt] or [Ctrl] key in Windows. · The display in the image display window can be changed when several images are displayed. You can change the display by selecting [Cascade], [Arrange], [Display vertically], or [Display horizontally] from the [Window] menu. Tips 147 Image display Displaying the navigator The display position of the image in the image display window is displayed in the [Navigator] window. 1 Select [Display Navigator] from the [View] menu. The [Navigator] window appears. [Navigator] window The area of the image that is being edited in the image display window is indicated by a red frame. You can drag the red frame to change the displayed position of the image. 148 Image Edit Window 2 Select [Hide Navigator] from the [View] menu to close the [Navigator] window. Image display Displaying RGB and coordinate information The RGB value and coordinate information of the current position of the cursor in the image edit window can be displayed. 1 Select [Display Information] from the [View] menu. The [Information] window appears. [Information] window 2 Move the mouse cursor to the position in the image at which you want to check the RGB value and coordinates. The RGB value and coordinates are displayed in the [Information] window. As the mouse cursor is moved, the RGB value and coordinate numbers change. When the mouse cursor is moved to a position outside of the image, the RGB value and coordinates show no information. Image Edit Window 3 Select [Hide Information] from the [View] menu to close the [Information] window. 149 Image display Displaying the properties Hardware information (model name, etc. ), shooting information (aperture value, exposure compensation, etc. ), image information (color depth, etc. ), Exif tag information, and other properties for the selected image can be displayed. The displayed information is the same as that in the properties area of the browse window. Image processing bar and image processing palette The image processing bar and image processing palette are used to edit images in OLYMPUS Studio. When an edit item is selected on the image processing bar, the corresponding image processing palette appears, which is used to edit the items. To edit an image, click an editing item on the image processing bar and then use the displayed image processing palette. 1 Click the button on the image processing bar that corresponds to the item you want to edit. The image processing palette appears. Image processing bar Image processing palette Image Edit Window Item [Batch Target] [Apply] Description Batch processing can be used to edit the images in several files or folders at the same time. This box cannot be checked if [Apply] is not also checked in each image processing palette. Some of the information is removed from the image, thereby compressing and recording the image data to a smaller file size. Although the image quality deteriorates slightly when the image data is compressed, you are able to save more images with the same disk space. PICT files can be written and read by most graphic software and by Simple Text, and are therefore commonly used when sending and receiving data across different software applications. [. . . ]
