[. . . ] - Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (on the bottom of the kettle) is the same as in your home. - The electric base cannot be used for purposes other than that for which it was designed. - Do not start the kettle when it is empty to prevent the heating element from being damaged. [. . . ] - Unplug the kettle from the mains power supply when it is not in use and before cleaning it. Leave it to cool down before removing or replacing parts and before cleaning it. - Before the water starts to boil, always make sure that the lid is closed and that it is not in the raised position. - If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his authorised technical agent or by a qualified technician, so as to avoid any risk. - Do not use the kettle for purposes other than that for which it was intended. - The kettle is for domestic use only - This product must not be used by children or by others without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental state prevents them from using it safely. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product. BEFORE USING THE KETTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME If using the kettle for the first time, we recommend you clean it first by boiling water in it then throwing the water away. To fill the kettle with water, remove it from the electric base, open the lid by pressing the lid opening button, and put the desired amount of water inside. If you put very little water in the kettle then the kettle will switch itself off before the water has boiled. NOTE: The amount of water in the kettle must not exceed the maximum level, because it could spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is closed properly before plugging in the cable to the mains power supply. When the water is boiling, you can switch it off by lifting the on/off switch. NOTE: make sure that the switch is not obstructed and that the lid is completely closed. NOTE: when pouring the water out of the kettle, do so carefully because boiling water can scald you. The kettle will not start to heat up again until you press the switch again. [. . . ] PRECAUTION: Do not use chemical cleaners for steel or abrasives on the outside of the kettle.
