Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] Do not submerge the cable, the plug or the unit in water or any other liquid. This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental state prevents them from using it safely or who lack the necessary experience or knowledge, unless supervised or given instructions regarding its use by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. [. . . ] The power cable is short, to avoid the risk of people becoming tangled up in, or tripping up on, a longer cable. This appliance is supplied with an earthed plug to reduce the risk of electric shocks. It is therefore designed to be plugged into an earthed socket in one way only. If the plug does not fit the socket well turn the plug the other way up. Features of the coffee maker: Before using for the first time Check that all the accessories are complete and that the unit has not been damaged. Fill the tank with water until it reaches the maximum level and allow the water to work through the unit several times without adding coffee. In general, one spoon of ground coffee is sufficient for each cup of coffee but this can be varied according to taste. The coffee preparation process can be interrupted at any time by putting the switch in the "O" (OFF) position. The appliance will restart when the switch is returned to the "I" position. When the coffee is ready, you can remove the jug and serve the coffee. Note: Take care when serving the coffee as coffee that has just been made is very hot. The quantity of coffee obtained is less than the quantity of water added to the tank as the coffee grounds themselves absorb water. With safety in mind, it is better to close the jug lid when serving coffee. After making and serving the coffee, you can replace the jug on the heating plate. Once the coffee maker has finished making the coffee, the coffee can be kept warm. Always switch off the coffee maker and unplug it from the power supply when not in use. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE PRECAUTION: Ensure you unplug the appliance before cleaning it. To avoid electric shock, do not submerge the cable, the plug or the unit in water or any other liquid. [. . . ] If necessary, throw away the mixture and clean the appliance with tap water until no vinegar smell remains. Disposal of old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (Applicable throughout the European Union and other European countries with separate collection programs) This symbol, found on your product or on its packaging, indicates that this product should not be treated as household waste when you wish to dispose of it. Instead, it should be handed over to an applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. [. . . ]
