The VCR will rewind to the start of the tape, and play with high speed for 10 seconds the beginning of each recording (which is longer than 15 minutes). Depending on how many times you press these INDEX Buttons (up to a maximum of 20 times), the VCR will search through the tape to find the start of the programme, and will automatically start playback (for each programme which is longer than 5 minutes). For example, if you press the INDEX Button three times, the VCR will search for the third programme. To cancel the Index Search System, press the Stop Button ` . Setting the sound system The EC/ECN/ECY Series can receive transmissions which are broadcast with NICAM sound. This is a sound system with two sound channels which broadcasts either stereo sound or two separate mono channels (M1 and M2).
