Never use steel wool. Removing limescale from the appliance Warning!Products for removing limescale contain acids which may damage the appliance's components or cause discolouration in the laundry. However, if it becomes necessary to remove the lime scale, the instructions provided by the limescale re moving product should be followed closely. 23 Clean the detergent drawer When detergent or additive residue has built up: q Pull the drawer out fully, q press on the moveable part, and q completely remove the drawer from the appliance. q Pull moveable part. upwards. q Clean the drawer with running water and dry it. q Close the moveable piece and fix it. q Put the drawer back in. 24 Clean the drainage pump Emptying the wash water If the wash water is not completely emptied. (up to 20 litres, a suitable container is needed) d Danger of scalding First allow the wash water to cool. q Open and pull out the service hatch. q Take the drainage pipe out of its housing and re move it from the appliance. 90 °C max. q Remove the lid carefully and let the wash water flow into the receptacle. q Fit closure plug and attach the drainage pipe to its fitting. q Carefully unscrew the pump's cap. Remove remains and loose threads from the thread of the pump cap and pump housing.
