[. . . ] Never put the heater anywhere where it can come into contact with water, such as close to a washbasin, swimming pool, shower or bathtub. If the heater gets wet, disconnect from the mains before touching it, as with a wet heater there is always a risk of electric shock even when switched off. Never touch a heater, whether wet or dry, if you have wet hands or any part of your body is wet. To obtain maximum protection against electric shock, always plug the heater into a socket with a switch and properly earthed. [. . . ] This heater has been designed to supply additional heat only for domestic use and must not be used as a main heat source, in continuous use. The manufacturer does not recommend any other use, as it could cause a fire, electric shock or injury to individuals. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE This product may differ slightly from the illustration This manual is designed to assist as far as possible in the use and maintenance of your electrical fan heater. This appliance is recommended ONLY FOR DOMESTIC USE. It can be connected to any AC electrical power socket (ordinary domestic current). Do not use any other type of socket. SPECIAL ATTENTION The use of extension leads is not recommended. If on a reel, it must be fully unwound ­ never use partially coiled up, 3. Make sure that no other appliances are plugged into the same socket as your heater. Put the selector switch to the fan option or one of the two heater options. 6. It will now automatically start and stop to maintain the heat in the room constant. It lights up when the heater is in the working position. AUTOMATIC SAFETY SWITCH OFF TO AVOID OVERHEATING Your heater has an automatic switch off device. This device will switch the heater off if the temperature inside the casing rises too high. If the switch is activated, it will disconnect the fan elements until the unit is switched on again. If the heater turns off, make sure that all the openings are free from obstructions. IMPORTANT To restart the anti-overload protection when the heater has turned itself off, unplug the heater for at least 10 minutes to allow it to cool. If the safety switch continues to operate often, repeat the above steps. Do not attempt to adjust the heater, take the unit to an authorised service centre to be repaired and/or replaced according to the terms and conditions of the guarantee. FROST CONTROL For the Frost Control to operate, the main selector must be in either position or and the thermostat set to the lowest setting ( ) i. e. : fully anti-clockwise. In this position, the heater will come into operation when the temperature falls below approximately 5°C. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE This appliance requires little maintenance and does not contain parts that the user can repair. If you need assistance, call for qualified service personnel. CLEANING Disconnect and unplug the cable from the mains before cleaning the heater. Accumulated dust can be removed with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner, using its soft brush. PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BROWN - LIVE (L) BLUE - NEUTRAL (N) As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: · The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK. · The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal, which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED. WARNING: ON NO ACCOUNT MUST EITHER THE LIVE OR NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE EARTH TERMINAL ~~~~~ Warranty ~~~~~ This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase when the appliance is used solely for domestic purposes.
