S Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter with this appliance. [. . . ] Turn the Thumb Wheel clockwise for shorter length, counter-clockwise for longer length. S Hold the trimmer in one hand with your thumb firmly on the Thumb Wheel to keep it from turning. S With your other hand, gently pull the trimmer comb attachment off the trimmer. S Hold the trimmer in one hand with your thumb firmly on the Thumb Wheel to keep it from turning. S With your other hand, slide the comb over the top of the trimmer until it clicks into place. If the time between recharging cycles does not increase, the battery may need replacing. If the BKT-1000 doesn't turn on: s The batteries may be improperly installed. The trimmer will not operate unless the batteries are positioned correctly. S The BKT-2000 is a wet/dry trimmer, so feel free to use it in the shower. Clean your trimmer regularly to ensure that the unit's operating life is not prematurely shortened. S Only the adjustable trimmer comb and cutter assembly may be removed from the trimmers for cleaning. S Cleaning should only be done with a soft brush, such as the brush supplied with the units. S Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners on the units or their cutters. It's a good idea to begin trimming at one of the longest settings (4 or 5) to avoid accidentally trimming hair too short. As you become familiar with the settings, you can then select your desired length setting. S If hair builds up in the trimmer comb during the trimming process, shut the unit off, pull off the adjustable trimmer comb and brush it off. S For an even closer look and precise shaping, remove the adjustable trimmer comb and trim the hairs along the outer edge. S When you are finished, turn the trimmer off, clean it, and return it to its storage pouch. Your trimmer is fitted with high-quality stainless steel cutting blades, which will remain permanently lubricated in a dry environment. If you use your BKT-2000 in the sho wer or rinse it under running water, you will periodically need to add a drop of oil to the cutting blades to keep them operating at peak performance. Simply remove the adjustable trimmer comb and place a drop of oil on the teeth of the cutter assembly.
