[. . . ] Battery cautions Use of non-alkaline batteries will hurt the unit's operating performance. Batteries should not be left in the unit if the unit is not in use for long periods. To prevent battery corrosion, the unit should be stored in a dry environment. Dead batteries should be removed immediately and disposed of properly. [. . . ] Start under your chin, and following your jaw line, trim toward your ear and upper beard line using an upward motion. Holding the groomer with the cutting unit facing away from you, move the groomer along the length of the comb. beard line What to use: trimmer Turn the groomer on. Lightly touch the cutting blades to your face and draw the groomer toward your beard line. Foil Shaver Use the Foil Shaver attachment to clean-up detailed areas. For safe trimming, avoid inserting the groomer more than 1/4 inch into the ear canal. Rotate the groomer in a circular motion, gently moving it in and out as you rotate. Carefully guide the groomer around surfaces of the ear where there are unwanted hairs. Mustache What to use: trimmer Use a small comb to straighten hairs for trimming. Too much pressure may trim more hair than desired. Since all hairs do not grow in the same direction, you may want to try trimming upwards, downwards, or across. Nape of neck What to use: trimmer Use a hand mirror if you are trimming the nape of your neck yourself. Lift the hair up off the neck, and use your index finger to cover the roots of any hair you DO NOT want to trim. This will serve as a bumper to prevent accidentally trimming too much hair. Touch the cutting edges to your neck, and move the groomer slowly up your neck until it touches the finger that is covering the roots of your hair. For safe trimming, avoid inserting the groomer more than 1/4 inch into your nostril. Rotate the groomer in a circular motion around the opening of the nostril, gently moving it in and out as you rotate. If the trimmer needs additional cleaning, the cutting head can be removed by turning it 1/4 inch to the right and pulling it off. Then blow out the accumulated hair or rinse it more thoroughly under running water. Afterward, shake excess water from the cutter head, making sure that all parts are held together. Replace the head in the same position as it was removed, turning it 1/4 inch counterclockwise until it locks into place.
