[. . . ] If you want to store your photos on a SD/MM Card, make sure it is installed before you turn on the camera. If you want to store images directly to the camera's internal memory, either remove the memory card, or select Internal from the Memory Type menu. To prolong the life of your batteries it is recommended to keep the LC display turned off when not in use. · Selecting the Camera Mode Selecting the Camera Mode There are two modes for taking pictures: Snapshot and Preset. Snapshot mode is for basic picture taking, while Preset mode allows you to take pictures in one of five preset schemes: Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, SelfTimer and Macro. the Snapshot mode indicated by the camera icon To use the self-timer, rotate the Mode Dial to Preset mode and the use the Up and Down buttons to select Self-Timer mode.
