Ice is dispensed from the automatic ice maker bucket in the freezer compartment. When the outside dispenser bar is pressed, a trapdoor opens between the ice bucket and the dispenser. When the glass is taken away from the dispenser bar, the trapdoor closes. The dispenser will not operate when the freezer compartment door is open. Large amounts of ice cubes should be taken directly from the bucket, not through the dispenser. Noise from the ice crusher is normal, and pieces of ice may vary in size. When changing from crushed ice to ice cubes, a small quantity of crushed ice will be dispensed along with the first cubes. After starting the appliance, it generally takes overnight before the first ice cubes are ready. · If the dispenser does not dispense ice when you press the bar, change the ice selection from ice cubes to crushed ice or vice versa, (see figure) so as to remove any ice blocks. · If the dispenser still does not dispense ice, wait two minutes and repeat this operation. The dispenser has not been used for extended periods, causing the ice cubes to melt together. Shake the bucket occasionally to keep cubes separate and to increase storage capacity. Large amounts of ice should be taken from the bucket, not through the dispenser. The first few batches of ice from a new ice maker may have an off-taste. NOTE: Only use cubes from the ice maker. 45 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power supply. Periodically clean the refrigerator and freezer compartments with a sponge dampened in a solution of lukewarm water and vinegar. · Do not use steam cleaners · Clean the condenser and seal.
