[. . . ] TITLE ­ ­ Set: Start: ENTER PLAY T ­­ 01 02 03 04 05 H Quit: DISPLAY H Quit: DISPLAY 39 Creating Your Own Program (Program Play) x When playing a VIDEO CD or CD Select the track you want to program. Total time of the programmed tracks zThe program remains even after Program Play ends When you press H, you can play the same program again. zYou can do Repeat Play or Shuffle Play of the programmed titles, chapters or tracks During Program Play, activate "REPEAT" or "SHUFFLE" in the Control Menu display. PROGRAM ALL CLEAR 1. TRACK ­ ­ Set: Start: ENTER PLAY 0:15:30 T ­­ 01 02 03 04 05 zYou can select discs, titles, chapters and tracks for the program by looking at the front panel display You can program by looking at the front panel display instead of using the programming display on the TV screen. When you select Track 3 in a VIDEO CD for Program 1, the front panel display will appear as follows: Using Various Functions with the Control Menu H Quit: DISPLAY VIDEO CD PGM 4 To program other titles, chapters or tracks, repeat Step 3. The programmed titles, chapters or tracks are displayed in the selected order. Press H to start Program Play. Program number VIDEO CD PGM 5 Track number To stop Program Play Press CLEAR on the remote. To change the program 1 In Step 2, select the program number of the title, chapter or track you want to change using M/m. To cancel the programmed order To cancel all the titles, chapters or tracks in the programmed order, select "ALL CLEAR" in Step 2. To cancel the selected program, select the program using M/m in Step 2 then press CLEAR, or select "- -" in Step 3 then press ENTER. VIDEO CD PGM zYou can display the "PROGRAM" display using the remote Press PROGRAM on the remote. Notes · The number of titles, chapters or tracks displayed are the same number of titles, chapters or tracks recorded on a disc. · The program is canceled when: ­ you open or close the disc tray ­ the player enters standby mode by pressing ?/1 on the remote ­ you turn the power off by pressing POWER on the player · Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to perform Program Play. · If you are using the PBC playback function, you must first stop the disc before you can set a program. · When playing Super VCDs, the total time of the programmed tracks does not appear on the screen. This function is useful when you want to do such things as memorize lyrics. During PBC Playback of VIDEO CDs (page 22), this function is available only while playing moving pictures. During AB Repeat Play, the "A-B REPEAT" indicator lights up in green. 12(27) 18(34) T 1:32:55 PLAY DVD Setting a portion for A-B repeat 1 Select "A-B REPEAT" and press ENTER. 12(27) 18(34) T 1:32:55 PLAY DVD OFF SET OFF A­B REPEAT To select, Select: press Using Various Functions with the Control Menu ENTER then , Cancel: RETURN . Return: RETURN 3 During playback, when you find the starting point (point A) of the portion to be played repeatedly, press ENTER. The starting point (point A) is set. CHAPTER TIME A: 18 ­ 1 : 32 : 55 Cancel: CLEAR 43 Repeating a Specific Portion (A-B Repeat) Adjusting the Picture Quality (BNR) The Block Noise Reduction (BNR) function adjusts the picture quality by reducing the "block noise" or mosaic like patterns that appear on your TV screen. If you select any setting other than OFF, the "BNR" indicator lights up in green. 12(27) 18(34) T 1:32:55 OFF 1 2 3 OFF PLAY DVD 4 When you reach the ending point (point B), press ENTER again. The set points are displayed and the player starts repeating this specific portion. Notes · You can set A-B Repeat for only one specific section. · A-B Repeat is canceled when: ­ you open or close the disc tray ­ the player enters standby mode by pressing ?/1 on the remote ­ you turn the power off by pressing POWER on the player · When you set A-B Repeat, the settings for Shuffle Play, Repeat Play and Program Play are canceled. · You may not be able to set A-B Repeat for some DVD or VIDEO CD scenes. BNR Select: ENTER Cancel: RETURN x BNR The default setting is underlined.
