Table of Contents Index 128 Notes Changing Settings To configure a new access point from the access points list In the access points list, tap a new access point to configure. If the access point is not set to use an encryption method, simply tap the access point in the list to connect to it. If the access point is set to use an encryption method, tap it to open the setting screen. SSID and the security method are set automatically, simply by entering the encryption key, following the steps on the next page. Do not change these settings unless the administrator of the access point indicates otherwise, as the network may not operate correctly. The connection name for the access point can be changed if necessary ( 133). The Reader may not connect to the access point when WEP key of the security method is not correctly recognized. In this case, select [WEP (Shared Key)] of [Security Method] ( 133) and connect to the access point again. Note Table of Contents Index 131 Changing Settings To configure a new access point using the WPS (Wi-Fi protected Setup) feature The setting of the wireless LAN router supported WPS feature is easy to configure. [WPS Push-Button Configuration]: Connects the WPS-compliant access point by using the pushbutton method. [WPS PIN Method]: Connects to the WPS-compliant access point using the PIN method. If you begin a new configuration using the Push-Button or PIN method during connection to a Wi-Fi network, the connection will be terminated. Note To register a new access point manually An access point not displayed in the access points list (such as the access point with stealth function) can be configured.
