This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes. JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition. [. . . ] To wash the jar base, turn it counter-clockwise to remove it from the motor housing. Carefully remove the blade assembly and the silicon ring from the jar base and wash. To disassemble the spout for cleaning, first remove the lever by pushing upward on the stopper and sliding the lever off of the stopper pin. Clean all parts in warm, soapy water, rinse, dry well, and reassemble in the order shown. As needed, clean the outside of the motor housing by unplugging your Smoothie Maker from the electrical outlet and wiping the housing with a damp, soft sponge and mild detergent. If the blades are stuck or difficult to turn, do not use your Smoothie Maker. After all parts are clean and dry, replace the silicon ring inside the jar base with the flat side against the jar base and then replace the blade assembly. The upper silicon ring should be installed with the flat side against the jar. Fit the jar base to the top of the motor housing; the spout should be on the same side as, and centered above, the Pulse button and the Low/High/Off buttons. place the jar into the jar base so that the handle is on the same side as the Low/High/Off buttons. If you experience any problems with your machine, unplug it immediately from your electrical outlet, and contact your nearest authorized service center. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following: Unplug cord from outlet when not in use or before cleaning. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor base in water or any other liquids. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Keep hands and utensils out of jar while blending to prevent personal injury or damage to the smoothie maker. A rubber spatula may be used only when the smoothie maker is not running. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest Authorized Sunbeam Appliance Service center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes; this appliance is for household use only. Do not use attachments that are not recommended by the manufacturer; they may cause injury. [. . . ] While your Smoothie Maker is running, turn the stir stick counter-clockwise for thorough mixing. Add ice or any frozen ingredients such as frozen fruit, frozen yogurt or ice cream. Add any combination of liquid ingredients to the Smoothie Maker jar, including fruit, milk, juice, yogurt, soft tofu or herbal supplements.
