User Manual Falk Navigator 10 - 57 - 2. 5. 13 Screen lock You have a choice between two basic settings for activating the screen lock. Requirement: Your navigation device is not currently navigating and the screen is not operated for the set period of time. Timer: Activates the screen lock according to your personal presettings. You have a choice between 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes. Manual: The screen lock is always activated when you manually activate the on/off switch on the top of the device. You will find more information on the screen lock in Chapter 1. 3. 2. 2. 5. 14 Theft protection You can use this function to activate the theft protection. The requirement for this is that you have set up a personal PIN number via the Falk NaviManager PC program. You can find out how to set up theft protection in Chapter 1. 3. 1 2. 5. 15 Ask route options If you select the Ask route options option in the settings menu, you will be given the option of changing the route options currently selected before your route is actually calculated. Note: The current date and time are received with the GPS signal and are therefore always kept up to date. To set the current time zone, tap the left or right arrow at the top of the screen. In order to set the time display format, tap the corresponding circle (12 hour or 24 hour) in the centre of the screen. By default, the system automatically switches between winter time and summer time. Confirm the settings with Ok or exit the screen without saving your changes by selecting the Cancel button. 2. 5. 26 Screen If the screen no longer responds properly when you tap it, it needs to be recalibrated. Select the Screen option in the settings menu and start calibration by confirming the message that follows with Ok. If you do not want to complete the calibration process, exit the screen by selecting Cancel. The calibration process is complete when the cross is no longer displayed. Tap the screen again to return to the system settings menu. 2. 5. 27 Set rapid access menu You can adapt the rapid access menu on the navigation screen to reflect your own individual needs by setting which functions and settings of the Falk Navigator you wish to have rapid access to. Tap on the icon which you would like to change on the rapid access menu view.
