Contents Index 51 Contents Index 52 FUNCTION POP-UP MENU PAN/SCROLL DESCRIPTION Displays a Pop-up Menu on your screen. Enables you to position a document or image in any direction within the active pane by pressing a pen button set for PAN/SCROLL and then dragging with the pen tip across the tablet's active area. When you select PAN/SCROLL, the PEN SCROLL SPEED dialog box prompts you to set a scrolling speed that will be used in applications that do not support grabber hand (pixellevel) panning within a document or image. A slower setting reduces the scroll rate and is useful for close-up and detail work where you need precise control of the image. As you move the pen tip, the document or image is repositioned to follow the direction of pen movement on the tablet. Release the button or lift the pen tip from the tablet surface when you are done. TOUCH TOGGLE is useful when you are working with the pen and want to prevent accidental touch input (e. g. , to prevent an accidental right-click). Temporarily disable touch by pressing an ExpressKey to which you have assigned the TOUCH TOGGLE function. Connect the tablet to a different USB port or try connecting to the USB port on another computer. Attempt to move the screen cursor by tracking your finger across the tablet surface. The status LED should brighten when you touch the active area of the tablet. If the tablet driver does not load properly, basic touch movement will be recognized but other actions and gestures will not. If the driver does not properly load, the lower two ExpressKeys only will function at their default settings of CLICK (bottom key) and RIGHT CLICK (2nd key up). If gestures are not recognized and ExpressKeys do not function, insert the Bamboo Installation CD into your computer and install the driver software for the tablet. If your tablet is equipped with a pen and the tablet driver does not load properly, pen input will not be available.
